Plan your family getaway to Harpers Ferry, WV | You don't have to do it this way but here's a start. | Meet at the steps leading to the St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church to go to Jefferson Rock and afterward begin the overlook hike. There is a parking fee.

About the event
The Appalachian Trail is the longest hiking only footpath in the World ranging 2,190+ miles from Georgia to Maine traversing through 14 states. Harper’s Ferry is also the site of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. (An interesting place to visit.)
After the hikes, enjoy the historical town of Harpers Ferry, Civil War enactments, and other activities.

This Dec 2nd Harper’s Ferry tour (Starts at 9:30am) promises to be very interesting and include historical sites along with an array of activities within the town for their annual Ole Town Christmas. The Wisdom Walkers Adventure hike/trek is optional and commences after the tour and/or lunch.
NOTE: Try to park in town at the Harper’s Ferry Train Station parking lot or at the Visitors Center. Parking is a fee, so it is best to try and carpool. *Those not hiking can arrive and enjoy the historic town and meet the hiking group after the hike near John Brown’s Fort.
